Nysnø’s management team in place

Nysnø is a new company mandated by the Norwegian Parliament to invest in technology which reduces greenhouse gas emissions. A management team with extensive knowledge and experience has been recruited to execute the strategy.

Bjørn Munthe, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Bjørn joins Nysnø from the position of CFO at Stavanger university Hospital. Bjørn holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration and has broad experience from large organisations. He was previously Vice President and CFO of Ahlsell. Bjørn has also worked in finance and investments in SSB Securities ASA, later Wunderlicht Securities.

Frances Eaton, Chief Legal and Compliance Officer (CLCO) Frances is a lawyer with a degree from the University of Bergen. Frances was Head of Business Support and Compliance and worked with business development in SKAGEN Funds before becoming CEO of Nansen Capital Partners. She also has experience from the law firm Schjødt and Total E&P Norge.

Eivind Egeland Olsen, Investment Director (CIO) Bjørn is currently Head of Corporate Finance in SR-Bank Markets. Eivind has broad finance and investment experience from his time as partner at ABG Sundal Collier, Jefferies & Company’s cleantech team and The Royal Bank of Scotland in London. Eivind has a Master of Economy and Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and the Warwick Business School (WBS).

– The most important thing for me is to build a strong team that can work together across disciplines and lift each other. With this team in place, we have the best starting point for cooperation and success, says Kalvig.
Bjørn and Eivind will join on or before 1. October. Frances has been working as a consultant on legal and compliance issues for Nysnø since the spring and has now joined in a permanent capacity. Nysnø currently has six employees and operates from temporary offices located alongside Stavanger Smart City in the centre of Stavanger.

About us

Fornybar AS was established on 20.12.2017 by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, and changed its name to Nysnø Climate Investments in June 2018. The company’s investment mandate is described in the National budget for 2018.
