Nysnø appoints Advisory Board: Joined by reputable business leaders

Eldar Sætre, Kristin Halvorsen, Kimberly Mathisen, Auke Lont and Tore Myrholt have been appointed to Nysnø's new Advisory Board. The profiles will share their experience and expertise and provide strategic advice on issues related to climate investments, portfolio development and international relations.

“We are incredibly pleased to appoint an Advisory Board with five very competent profiles with extensive experience from industry, business and academia. They will have an advisory role to Nysnø’s management and investment team,” says CEO Siri Kalvig.

The Advisory Board’s role
• Share perspectives and views on the global climate challenges and how climate investments can play a key role
• Provide new insights, guidance and recommendations that are relevant to the development of Nysnø’s portfolio
• Provide strategic advice to Nysnø’s management team and advice on international issues, crossroads and decisions related to strategic directions

Eldar Sætre

Chairman Advisory Board

Eldar Sætre joined Statoil in 1980 and was CEO of the company from 2014 to 2021. He was the initiator of the name change from Statoil to Equinor and has been a driving force in building Equinor into a broad energy company.

Kristin Halvorsen

Member Advisory Board

Kristin Halvorsen has a long political career behind her, including as Minister of Education and Minister of Finance from 2009 to 2014. Since 2014, she has been director of CICERO, center for international climate research.

Kimberly Mathisen

Member Advisory Board

Kimberly Mathisen has more than 20 years of experience from the brand, health, media and technology industries in North America, Asia, and Europe. Today she heads the foundation HUB Ocean.

Auke Lont

Member Advisory Board

Auke Lont has a degree in mathematics and economics and moved to Norway from the Netherlands in 1981 to work in the oil and gas industry. From 2009 to 2021, he was director of Statnett.

Tore Myrholt

Member Advisory Board

Tore Myrholt has a master’s degree in economics and started at McKinsey in 1982. Since then, he has held several management positions in the Nordics and EMEA. Today he is a director and senior partner in the company.
