Jean-Baptiste has been an Investment Manager in Nysnø`s investment team since 2018. He has nearly 20 years of experience from various positions within renewable energy production and cleantech industries. After graduating with a degree in engineering from the École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées in France, Jean-Baptiste worked as a consultant in Ernst & Young where he built up in-depth knowledge in carbon accounting. Thereafter he became part of the start-up company Velcan Energy where the main focus was energy production from biomass and hydropower in India. Later, he worked for Total where Jean-Baptiste searched for future technologies within bio-fuels and bio-chemicals. Before Jean-Baptiste started in Nysnø in 2018, he led a start-up company that developed solutions to supply energy to off-grid sites using solar, wind, and batteries. In Nysnø, Jean-Baptiste focuses primarily on direct investments with heavy technical projects connected to energy and innovative industrial processes. Jean-Baptiste is a team player who is driven by creating value and by developing companies that contribute positively to the world’s climate development.
