Vaclav Smil is a scientist who does interdisciplinary research in the fields of energy, environmental and population change, food production and nutrition, technical innovation, risk assessment, and public policy. He has published 40 books and nearly 500 papers on these topics. Vaclav is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Manitoba and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (Science Academy). In 2010 he was named by Foreign Policy as one of the top 100 global thinkers and in 2013 he was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada.

Maja Lunde is an author and screenwriter with a Master's degree in media and communication from the University of Oslo. Maja is one of Norway’s most prominent authors on the international literary stage. She has written eleven children’s and young adult books and has published the two first novels in a climate quartet for adults. The History of Bees, the first book in the series, received the prestigious Bokhandlerprisen (Norwegian Booksellers’ Prize) and was the best selling book across all genres in Germany in 2017. The second book, Blue, has been translated to over 20 languages. Through her literary work, Maja has actualised climate change fro a wide audience and she is also an engaged participant in the public debate on environmental and climate issues.

Esther holds a BCom/BA degree from the University of Queensland, a Masters of Environment from the University of Melbourne, and a GDip in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Esther has a strong background in sustainability and financial analysis, and before joining Generation she was a sustainability analyst at Sustainable Asset Management in Melbourne, Australia, a sustainability consultant at Matrix+ International, and a financial analyst at ING Barings and Barclays Bank in London.

Jakob Askou Bøss is Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Stakeholder Relations at Ørsted. He holds an MPA from Harvard University and an MSc in Political Science from Aarhus University. Jakob oversees corporate strategy, group communication, public affairs, sustainability, regulatory affairs and corporate branding at Ørsted. Since joining the company in 2004, he has been deeply involved in the strategic transformation from one of the most coal-intensive utilities in Europe to a global leader in green energy.

Andreas Wahl is a physicist, science communicator and TV host, and holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from NTNU. Andreas has risked his life in the name of science on his show Med livet som innsats (NRK), endeavoured to enlighten the public through his show Folkeopplysningen (NRK), written four popular science books and a natural science text book (NOVA, CappelenDamm). In between writing and filming he has found time to win the Norwegian championship in cherry stone spitting four times and tour the country performing science shows.

Kristina Alnes is a Senior Advisor, Climate Finance at CICERO – Centre for International Climate Research. Kristina holds a Master’s Degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, New York, and has worked extensively with the relationship between climate and finance, both through academic research and as a sustainability consultant. At CICERO Kristina combines scientific research with a commercial approach developing tools to enhance climate finance, such as the acclaimed CICERO Shades of Green second opinion rating for green bonds.

Karen O’Brien is a Professor of Human Geography at the University of Oslo, and Co-founder and Chief Research Officer at cCHANGE, a company that bridges research and society. Karen holds an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in Geography from Pennsylvania State University. She is an internationally-recognized expert on climate change impacts, vulnerability, and adaptation. With 30 years of experience in climate change research, her work focuses on human and social responses to environmental change, with an emphasis on the relationships between personal, cultural, and systems transformations. Karen is an Advisor for Project Drawdown, has participated in four IPCC reports. She currently leads a Toppforsk research project on the relationship between climate change adaptation and transformations to sustainability.

He has a strong background in the semiconductor industry, architecting the world's lowest power microcontroller at Silicon Labs and the world's fastest growing industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band radio integrated circuits (ICs). This background made him believe that the challenges of the Internet of Things (IoT) could be solved and led to the establishment of Disruptive Technologies.

She was elected to the Stavanger city council in 1999 and led the Conservatives in the city council from 2003 until she was elected Mayor in 2011. Christine’s engagement for sustainable city planning has manifested in her leadership of the municipal development from 2007 – 2011, and in 2013 she was elected president of the World Energy Cities Partnership

Siri M. Kalvig er meteorolog og har en doktorgrad innenfor offshore vind teknologi. Før Nysnø jobbet Siri som leder for forskningsnettverket for miljøvennlig energi ved Universitetet i Stavanger. Hun har startet flere bedrifter og jobbet aktivt med finans og oppstartselskaper innen miljøteknologi. Siri begynte sin karriere som værpresentatør på TV2. Sammen med TV2 etablerte hun det om etter hvert ble det internasjonalt ledende værvarslingsselskapet StormGeo.
